Alright….soooo I (Krystle) am reading the Experiment In Terror series as we speak and let me just say I am LOVING it. I just finished Lying Season last night (AMAZING btw – I pretty much read it it one sitting – I could NOT put it down!) and I am wishing real life duties would take care of themselves so I could hurry up and start On Demon Wings and devour them all!
The stories are amazing. I’m completely in love with the main characters Perry and Dex. The secondary characters in all of the books are all amazing – I either LOVE them or HATE them! The writing is perfection. It’s no secret that I love every Karina book I read and this series definitely has not disappointed. Just three books and one novella in and I would HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone looking for a great series to read.
Anyways, I am so happy to be a part of this awesome thing Karina has going on called the 12 Days of Dexmas! Read on to find out a little more about Book 5 in the EIT series and a little more about the lovely and talented Karina Halle!

When the life you wanted has crumbled beneath your fingers, there’s nothing left to do but pick up the pieces and soldier on. You’ve done this before.
But what happens when you no longer feel like yourself anymore? When fires spontaneously start-up around you, when you hear growling coming from underneath your bed, and you no longer recognize your face in the mirror. What happens then?
Ghost-hunter Perry Palomino doesn’t have much time to find out. Now, the evil she used to hunt is a lot closer to home. It’s inside of her, taking over her life bit-by-terrifying bit, and there’s only one person who can help her.
If part of her doesn’t kill him first.
I lifted my hands and placed them inside his leather jacket, which was open slightly. I could feel his muscles underneath his silky shirt. He wasn’t rock hard; instead, he looked predestined to carry weight rather than lose it, but his body was still a pillar of strength and the more my tiny coral-painted fingers pushed and prodded against him, the more I felt like nothing could knock him over. He was as rooted as a tree. I wanted to burrow some of that strength, take it from him. Just thinking it made my kisses faster, more frenzied.
Finally he pulled back and moved his hand around to the side of my dace. It was warm against my cold cheek that was braised by the chilling wind.
“It’s getting late,” he said, his voice uneven. He cleared his throat.
“It already is late,” I whispered, not wanting to stop.
“And cold,” he said as he pulled my cardigan around me. “You need something warmer than this.”
“You’ll do,” I said. I was surprised at my boldness.
Maximus was too.
Karina Halle is the USA Today Best Selling Author of The Artists Trilogy (On Every Street, Sins & Needles, Shooting Scars, and Bold Tricks) published by Hachette, the Experiment in Terror series, and The Devil’s series published by Diversion.
The daughter of a Norwegian Viking and a Finnish Moomin, Karina Halle grew up in Vancouver, Canada with trolls and eternal darkness on the brain. This soon turned into a love of all things that go bump in the night and a rather sadistic appreciation for freaking people out. Like many of the flawed characters she writes, Karina never knew where to find herself and has dabbled in acting, make-up artistry, film production, screenwriting, photography, travel writing and music journalism. She eventually found herself in the pages of the very novels she wrote (if only she had looked there to begin with).
Karina holds a screenwriting degree from Vancouver Film School and a Bachelor of Journalism from TRU. Her travel writing, music reviews/interviews and photography have appeared in publications such as Consequence of Sound, Mxdwn and GoNomad Travel Guides. She currently lives on an island on the coast of British Columbia where she’s preparing for the zombie apocalypse with her fiance and rescue pup.
Karina is represented by Scott Waxman of the Waxman Leavell Literary Agency
